Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to generate responses that are self-revealing and informative. Feel free to ask all of these questions to your group or simply choose the one that best fits your group.

  1. Life often hits us with a “Pop Quiz”! How is life testing you right now?

  2. What lessons do you feel like you’ve been learning?

  3. Are there any help/prayers you could use from either a friend or LifePoint at this time?

Into the Bible: 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.

Read

  1. In this scripture, does God assign any type of value to any particular sin? What does that mean?  Cross-reference  (Romans 6: 23)

  2. What is vs 11 is saying….Particularly what is it saying a person must do to be “Washed Clean”?

  3. ****For this question, No required sharing please*** For 1-2 minutes reflect on your actions, behaviors, habits, etc…..ask yourself privately if your current life reflects the life of Jesus?  (Then move on to next section)

Application:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to apply the main points from the weekend message.

  1. Christians use the term “Saved” to express the idea that they are not personally strong enough or skilled enough to ever be able to eliminate sin from their lives. They need outside help...How does a person truly and permanently get “saved” by Jesus?

  2. What is the difference between working to become “Saved”, vs working as a result of Jesus “Saving” us?

  3. Once a person is truly saved by Christ Jesus, how will that look? Can you share an example you have seen either in yourself or in a person you know?

  4. If you have determined, as part of today’s Pop Quiz, that you are not yet “saved”; would you like to be? If so, please ask your group, a trusted friend, or a leader to pray with you and for you regarding the matter.
