If you had unlimited resources and you could experience anything in the world, what would you choose?
You have probably heard the phrase “be in the world, but not of the world.” What does that mean?
How do we discern where to draw the line on what aspects of culture and the world we shouldn’t partake in? What should we do instead?
Into the Bible:
Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.
Read 1 John 2:15-17
What does verse 15 mean?
How do we determine what worldly things God wants us not to love?
How can we abide forever like verse 17 mentions
Application:
Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to apply the main points from the weekend message.

Are you more likely to separate yourself from anything considered worldly and minimize your ability to be on mission for Jesus? Or do you tend to go wherever people are hoping to show the love of Christ, but sometimes get sucked in with worldly things and be of the world at times?
How can you strive to be more set apart by his word, on mission, and unified with Christ? How might your Life Group be able to help you with those things?
