  1. How would you summarize the passage in your own words? 

  2. As you read the passage or listened to the message, were there any words, phrases, or themes that felt significant or impactful to you? If so, what were they, and why did they stand out?

Explain: What does the passage mean?

  1. What is Jesus communicating by saying He’s the Good Shepherd? How does this set Him apart from other shepherds?

  2. What comfort does it bring you that “Jesus knows His own?”

  3. Why is it important that Jesus chose to lay down His life (and wasn’t forced)?

Apply: How does the passage change my life?
