Sermon Discussion Questions – Week of February 28, 2021

Get to know me:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to generate responses that are self-revealing and informative. Feel free to ask all of these questions to your group or simply choose the one that best fits your group.

  1. Share some good news! Where have you seen a victory in your life lately?

  2. Why is it that it’s so easy for us to share good news? What does that say about how we were made?

Into the Bible

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.

Read Matthew 28: 19 & 20

  1. What is Jesus saying here in Matthew?

  2. Jesus Specifically says to go to peoples of “all the nations” with the Gospel; does this mean that all of us need to go overseas to participate in mission work?

  3. What does your mission field look like? How effective do you feel you are in it regarding sharing the Gospel?

Application:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to apply the main points from the weekend message.

  1. Today in our Sermon we learn that the 144000 mentioned in Rev 7 are a symbolic number representing both the believers prior to Jesus resurrection & all of the believers that come after. How can we participate in that HUGE victory?

  2. The number “144000” in this case symbolizes God’s fullness in marking those that are saved. What are you doing to take part in bringing in that harvest?

  3. What is the best way you have found to share the Gospel?

  4. Once God has brought someone into your life that needs to hear the Gospel, & they accept it…..What are the next steps? How do we disciple people?

  5. Are you praying that God will bring you a person to pour into? How could that look if He brought you someone?
