Get to know me:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to generate responses that are self-revealing and informative. Feel free to ask all of these questions to your group or simply choose the one that best fits your group.

  1. What a WILD week! Has it affected how you perceive and judge what is true and what is a lie?

  2. How are you working to be a positive force in our community amidst all the craziness?

Into the Bible:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.

Read Ephesians 4: 9-16

  1. It is so easy to lie to ourselves. We often justify our sin with excuses that sooth our hearts & minds, but don’t help us to GROW. What is Paul saying the goal is here?

  2. How do we identify the parts of our lives that might be keeping us from growing, & where can we find help?

  3. How do Love & Truth Affect one another….how do they interact within us?

Application:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to apply the main points from the weekend message.

  1. We have an absolute & perfect “Measuring Tool” for truth; in God’s word, The Holy Bible. How can we use it to identify lies both in ourselves and others?

  2. Every choice we make in life costs something. What habits can help us Love God enough, to walk in Truth even when the cost is high?

  3. What we feed our hearts matters….(Video Games, News Programs, Movies, Magazines, Associations, Entertainment, etc.) How are your choices there affecting the way you think and act? Is there anything you might need to change & what would you use as a substitute?

  4. Imagine what your life could be like, totally sold out to the idea of living in Love with God’s Truth….what would that look like for you?
