Get to know me:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to generate responses that are self-revealing and informative. Feel free to ask all of these questions to your group or simply choose the one that best fits your group.

  1. How would you describe what baptism is to someone that doesn’t go to church?

  2. When were you baptized?  Talk about the details of that experience and what that meant to you.

  3. Why do you think baptism is important?

Into the Bible:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.

Read Titus 3:4-8

  1. What does this passage reveal about God?

  2. According to this passage, how are we saved?

  3. Verse 8 challenges believers ”to devote themselves to good works.” Why do you think that is important?

 Application:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to apply the main points from the weekend message.

  1. There are plenty of people out there who got “saved” and baptized at some point, but aren’t walking with God. What are some ways you can grow your relationship with God?

  2. How might the way you approach your faith lead to producing more fruit for the kingdom?

  3. Baptism is a reminder that God is gracious and washes believers clean regardless of how messy our past may be.  What do you want to celebrate that God has done in your life?
