Explain

Paul is using a visual of one of their own alters of worship as the foundation of his proclamation of who God is. This particular alter had the inscription ‘To the Unknown God.’ Paul says to them, you worship what you do not know. let me introduce you to Him.

Apply

It is obvious that we worship many things in this world. We always seem to gravitate toward things that we can touch and feel, especially that which we can see with our eyes. All the while neglecting to worship or recognize the one who created said things. We need to be reminded there is a creator and the He is worthy of worship, not the created.

My Prayer: Lord, show me ways to introduce you into conversations simply by the illumination that you are the one that created all things and you are the only one worthy of worship.
