Discover Community and Language Learning at LifePoint Church
At LifePoint Church, we celebrate the beautiful diversity of Middle Tennessee—and we’re thrilled to welcome people from all nations into our community! That’s why we offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for anyone eager to grow in their English communication skills.
Our dedicated teachers guide students in improving their speaking, listening, reading, and writing through the use of structured lessons and the life-changing message of the Gospel.
If you or someone you know is interested in joining our ESL program, simply send an email to joey@lifept.org to find out our enrollment process.
Please note: There may be times when enrollment is closed or the upcoming semester is already full. If that happens, we invite you to check back when the next open enrollment period begins (usually around April each year) —we’d love to welcome you then!
2025 ESL Enrollment is Closed
Enrollment Window
April 16 – Jun 30, 2025
ESL Academy Calendar
First Day of Class: August 18, 2025
Last Day of Class: last week of April, 2025
Process of registration and contacting of prospective students:
Once you’ve submitted your application for ESL classes, a member of our team will reach out to you before the semester begins to guide you through the next steps.
At LifePoint Church, we open our doors—and our hearts—to people from every nation, just as God commands in Deuteronomy 10:18–19:
“He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.”
As part of the registration process, you’ll be asked to provide some basic personal information. This helps us get to know you better and serve you and your family more effectively.
You will also need to complete a brief English screening to help us place you in the class that best fits your level. This step is required for enrollment to ensure you receive the support and instruction you need to thrive.
We look forward to welcoming you to our ESL program and walking with you on this journey of learning and faith.

Children and Teenagers:
At LifePoint Church, we care deeply about you and your entire family. That’s why, while you're in class focusing on learning English, we provide a safe, welcoming environment for your children—led by caring members of our church.
Your kids will enjoy a fun, enriching experience where they can:
Sing and play with other children
Learn valuable social skills
Hear age-appropriate Bible stories
Take part in engaging activities and games
We want you to feel confident and at peace knowing your children are being cared for with love—so you can focus on learning without distractions.
ESL Attendance:
Please understand that when you apply, get accepted and placed in a class, you are making a whole semester commitment to develop your English skills. We encourage you to follow through and make the most of this time for your benefit. While we understand the challenges some of you may be facing in scoring perfect attendance throughout the semester, we require every student to at least attend 18 of the 24 scheduled class sessions in order to pass your course of study of the semester. Please talk to either your teacher or the ESL Coordinator if you are having difficulty with class attendance so that we can see how we may be able to help.
ESL Certificate:
Students who successfully complete their course level and meet the attendance requirements will receive a Certificate of Completion for that level. Certificates will be distributed during our graduation ceremony at the end of the semester.
If a student is unable to attend graduation due to unforeseen circumstances, arrangements can be made to pick up the certificate from the church office at a later time.
Our full ESL program consists of 4 levels, designed to be completed over the course of one calendar year.
We’re proud of the hard work our students put into learning and growing—and we look forward to celebrating your progress along the way!
Graduation Celebration:
On the day of your final test, each student will receive a Letter of Intent to let us know whether you plan to return for the next semester. This helps us prepare and organize classes more effectively.
To make our graduation celebration extra special, we encourage (but do not require) all students to bring a dish from their home country to share with classmates and the ESL team. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate our diverse community and enjoy a meal together! As part of the form, you’ll be asked to indicate the type of food you plan to bring and how much.
Each graduating student may invite up to two family members to attend the ceremony and share in this special moment.
We look forward to a joyful celebration of your hard work and progress!
Multicultural Statement:
At LifePoint, we honor and respect the richness of each culture represented in our ESL classes. You will learn alongside people from many different backgrounds and contexts, and we believe diversity is something to be celebrated.
Please come prepared to share a space with people who may dress, speak, or behave differently than you. We ask all students to demonstrate kindness, patience, and mutual respect as we grow and learn together as a community.
