During the week, we hope that you enjoy intentional time as an individual and/or as a family finding life in worship. These guides are intended to help you do just that.

Each day follows a simple pattern of Read, Pray, Sing, a great model for your own time with the Lord and a very achievable model for families with kids. Each day has a Scripture reading, some things to pray for, and links to songs that will allow your family to worship together.

Biblical Evidence for Family Worship

The Beginning of Family Worship

For I have chosen him, that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring to Abraham what he has promised him.
— Genesis 18:19

The Command for Family Worship

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie
down, and when you rise.
— Deuteronomy 6:6-7

An Old Testament Example of Family Worship

But as for me and my house, we will serve (or worship) the LORD.
— Joshua 24:15

New Testament Examples of Family Worship

Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
— Ephesians 6:4
But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
— 2 Timothy 3:14-15
