Welcome back to the Sermon Group questions! How was your Holiday, & how are you dealing with this season's ups and downs?
Given the crazy times we are experiencing today, what do you hope to get out of our new series “THE REIGNING KING”, as we dive into the Bible book of Revelation?
Into the Bible:
Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.
Read 1 Corinthians 2: 6-13
Revelation is considered an Apocalyptic book of the Bible. Its content is both Instructional & Prophetic. Therefore, instead of being literal, much of its interpretation is HIGHLY symbolic. How do we navigate such a difficult message?

2. In addition, we are talking about 4 different interpretive styles that some have used in trying to understand Revelation...they are as follows: (In Google, have 4 different group members type out one of the questions below. Type exactly as written for a quick reference).
What is the Futurist view of Revelation?
What is the Preterist view of Revelation?
What is the Historicist View of Revelation?
What is the Idealism/Modified Idealism of Revelation?
Which are we leaning into? Why?
3. Group Prayer
Please take a few minutes as a group to pray for our Senior Leadership Team, as they do the work of helping us understand this very important book of the Bible. Especially, pray for the Holy Spirit to be working within their hearts & minds to grant each of them discernment, wisdom, and understanding as they faithfully guide us through this complex series.
