Matt and Lauren have both felt called to overseas missions since teenagers. In pursuit of this calling, they attended Moody Bible Institute. Matt studied missionary aviation. Lauren studied intercultural studies. They have been attending LifePoint since 2018. They are connected with intercultural ministries in Smyrna, like the ESL classes at LifePoint and the Community Servants clothes closet in Smyrna. They will be serving with the International Mission Board and moving to Eastern Europe to work with the Russian-speaking people group doing discipleship and church planting. They will be working to partner with existing, biblically healthy Russian-speaking churches and discipling believers to spread the Gospel and plant churches. They have two children, Isaiah and Eliana.
