Preguntas para el debate sobre el sermón
Conóceme
El objetivo de estas preguntas es obtener respuestas sinceras y reveladoras. No dudes en plantear todas estas preguntas a tu grupo o, simplemente, elige la que mejor se adapte a él.
Think of a time when someone made you a promise and kept it. What was it for? How did you feel when the promise was fulfilled? Can you remember a promise that wasn't kept? What was that like?
Adentrémonos en la Biblia
El objetivo de estas preguntas es animar a los miembros del grupo a profundizar en la Biblia para descubrir la verdad a partir de pasajes que no formaban parte del texto principal del mensaje del fin de semana.
Read Genesis 3:15. The results from The Fall have resonated up to this day. But the promise made here was given to say that one day sin would be crushed! Who does this promise speak of? Who is being defeated?
Read Genesis 8:20-9:17. Before the flood, God found favor in Noah. He entrusted to Noah a monumental task and Noah was faithful to do as God had commanded. From this God made a promise and gave a sign of remembrance. What were these? What makes this promise significant?
Read Genesis 15:1-6. Abrahm (Abraham) at this point had already been through a lot. The Lord called Abrahm to go to a land He would show him. Abrahm had run-ins with leaders. Then he rescued his nephew, Lot. Now, we come to the promise of all promises made to Abrahm. What is the promise? Where does this promise lead?
Solicitud
El objetivo de estas preguntas es poner en práctica los puntos principales del mensaje del fin de semana.
Read Hebrews 11:32-34. You could summarize these few verses by saying “Faith in the Lord leads to victory.” Life has been given. Death has been avoided. War has been won. How have you seen victory through faith in your life or those around you?
Read 2 Samuel 7:4-17. The Lord says “I will” a number of times in these verses. What are some of the characteristics of these “I will” statements? Of the promises made here, which ones are significant to you in your current state of life? How do these promises give you assurance?
Read Psalm 1. How does David describe someone who follows and doesn't follow the Lord? Was a follower of Jesus, how do you use this Psalm in your life?
