Preguntas para el debate sobre el sermón
Conóceme
El objetivo de estas preguntas es obtener respuestas sinceras y reveladoras. No dudes en plantear todas estas preguntas a tu grupo o, simplemente, elige la que mejor se adapte a él.
Think of a time when you had a relationship or friendship that was surface level only. How long did that relationship last? If not long, what were the circumstances that made it fall apart?
Now think of a long-standing relationship or friendship. What are the characteristics that have made it long-standing?
Adentrémonos en la Biblia
El objetivo de estas preguntas es animar a los miembros del grupo a profundizar en la Biblia para descubrir la verdad a partir de pasajes que no formaban parte del texto principal del mensaje del fin de semana.
Read Ephesians 2:19-22. Paul has been reminding those who were once Gentiles that they are part of the family bought with Jesus’ sacrifice. They are united with all believers. They are “being built together.” What are the things disciples of Jesus are to be united in and how should they accomplish those things? (See Ephesians 4:1-16)
Read 1 John 4:7-12. Each time John refers to the word “love” he is using a form of the Greek word “agapē”. This has been called Christian love because of its predominant use in Scripture. Agapē isn’t an emotional, romantic, or friendship type of love. Agapē love surpasses those through faithfulness, commitment, and devotion. In what ways are you assured that God’s love for you is agapē love? How is agapē love like a firm foundation? How are you living agapē love out in your life, or how should you?
Solicitud
El objetivo de estas preguntas es poner en práctica los puntos principales del mensaje del fin de semana.
Read Luke 6:46. Jesus addresses them as people who believe in Him but not follow Him. What is the difference?
Read Luke 6:47-48. Jesus is explicit in His statement what being a following of His means. How does the Gospel and teaching of Jesus give you assurance in times of trial? What scripture do you meditate on when the “floods” come?
Read Luke 6:49. Throughout the Gospel letters, Jesus accuses the Pharisees and other leaders of hypocrisy, going as far as to call them “whitewashed tombs.” (Matthew 23:27) Obedience is not extra to belief but follows true belief. How does obeying Jesus fulfill agapē love? What are some basics we as followers should do to be obedient, using Scripture as your guide?
