Sermon Discussion Questions
Main Idea: We are set free from our sin to do good to everyone (especially the church) by being gentle and generous.
Passage — Galatians 6:1-10
Highlight: What did the passage/message say?
How would you summarize the passage in your own words?
As you read the passage or listened to the message, were there any words, phrases, or themes that felt significant or impactful to you? If so, what were they, and why did they stand out?
Explain: What does the passage mean?
What does it look like to restore someone in a spirit of gentleness? Why is gentleness so important in these scenarios?
Why should we share “all good things” with those who teach the church?
What will we reap if we don’t grow weary of doing good? What makes us weary of doing good?
Apply: How does the passage change my life?
Are you aware of the burdens around you? How can you bear a fellow believer’s burdens this week?
What are some practical examples of doing good? How can you implement one of these this week?
Respond: How do I respond to what God has said?
Confess where you have selfishly avoided confronting the sin in others and have not been generous toward the church.
Ask God to give you endurance in doing good and to remove obstacles that keep you from doing good.
Praise God for seeing you and promising to reward all the good you do!
