Sermon Discussion Questions

Get to know me:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to generate responses that are self-revealing and informative. Feel free to ask all of these questions to your group or simply choose the one that best fits your group.

  1. What would you say a Man/Woman of “Action” looks like?

  2. Why do you think so few people today BOLDLY step into action?

Into the Bible

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.

Read: Ephesians 6:10–20

  1. Who is the strong one in this passage & what are we encouraged to do about that?

  2. Who is the battle against & what is the enemy’s goal?

  3. How does God equip us in a way that ensures the Victory for His great Glory?

Application:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to apply the main points from the weekend message.

Exercise:

Step 1 Group leaders please allow for a quiet reflection time spent in individual prayer. Ask your group to humbly & honestly assess the following, as each is an important part of a Healthy & Growing Christian’s daily life. (Bible Reading, Prayer, Tithing, Obedience to God’s Laws, Gospel Sharing, Teaching & Training your Family, Church Attendance)

Step 2 Have your Group continue to pray individually for God’s Grace/forgiveness where needed & for His Courage to engage in the needed areas.

Step 3 Have your Group members write out a short action plan. Including the selection of an accountability partner that can share in the Journey as they each work to grow.

Step 4 If there is time, and Group Members are willing, devote the final minutes to sharing. Encourage them to be intentional about sharing the real stuff. Share plans and points of action. Group leaders please be sure to direct any needs that are beyond your time or training ability to Church Staff. You are appreciated!
