Jesus invited this young man to come & follow Him, what a blessing that could have been! What did the young man do instead?
What did Jesus mean when He said, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
What does Jesus say the reward will be for those who Loyally follow Him, no matter what it costs them?
Application:

What does it mean to Tithe & how is that properly done?
What is the difference between Tithing in obedience & Giving Sacrificially?
How can engaging in these 2 types of money management be a part of how you share the Gospel?
Exercise:
Part A ~ Be intentional. If you have not yet leaned into loyally tithing, try it. It’s all God’s anyway. Instead of holding back what is rightfully Papa’s already, try gladly giving it back to Him through His Church Body. Pay attention to how things change as you prioritize this discipline in obedience to God.
Part B ~ Be even more intentional! If you are already faithfully Tithing 10% of your very first fruits, take it up a notch. Figure out something that you can cut out for a week….(Starbucks, Fastfood, Entertainment) Seek out a person in your day-to-day life that could really use a little help & reallocate that money. If you are worried about wasting $ on a false or inappropriate thing & want to be sure the money goes to a very good cause, contact our church office for ways to work alongside our charitable giving team. There is always more need than money. A small sacrifice to you can be a HUGE blessing to someone else.
