Sermon Discussion Questions – Week of March 14, 2021

Get to know me:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to generate responses that are self-revealing and informative. Feel free to ask all of these questions to your group or simply choose the one that best fits your group.

  1. From your own personal lens, what direction do you see the World moving towards?

  2. How is that affecting the way you live your life?

Into the Bible

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.

Read Romans 6: 23

  1. What does it mean when God’s Word says, “the wages sin pays is death”?

  2. Every one of us has sinned….how then, can we avoid receiving the wages we have earned?

Application:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to apply the main points from the weekend message.

  1. In our Study of Revelation Chapter 9 today we will see God’s Judgement poured out over the earth from the viewpoint of those who DO NOT repent & believe in Jesus Christ. What does the symbolic word picture there represent? Specifically:

    1. Locusts

    2. Scorpions

    3. Trouble from the Euphrates River

    4. The 200ml man Army

2.) What does God’s Judgment mean for unbelievers vs believers? How does that play out?

3.) God promises to Judge everyone who has ever lived...according to his perfect standards. He has shown AMAZING GRACE by sending His Son to the Earth to provide a permanent sacrifice that pays each of our personal debts once and for all time. Have you truly repented & accepted that gift? What “Fruit” has the Holy Spirit grown in you, that is an indication that you are truly His?

4.) Over the last weeks we have consistently come to the realization that time is urgently passing for those who are not yet Saved in Christ. How is God using this sermon series to nudge your heart? Doing anything differently because of it?

5.) Our Group Leaders are great at connecting people to resources. Do you feel well equipped for that task of sharing the Gospel with the Lost? What can we do to better equip you? ***(Group leaders please take notes, and share any needs with a staff member)***

Prayer Exercise:

Take a few minutes in silent personal prayer before the Group wraps-up, to Ask God to raise up in your heart a desire to share the Gospel more boldly. Specifically, that He would give you the eyes to see when it’s the right time, & the courage to speak His words with salt & light no matter the personal cost.
