Sermon Discussion Questions – Week of February 14, 2021

Get to know me:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to generate responses that are self-revealing and informative. Feel free to ask all of these questions to your group or simply choose the one that best fits your group.

  1. What is your all time, absolute favorite thing to do….that thing that you just “live” for?

  2. What would you die for?

Into the Bible

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to draw group members into the Bible to discover truth from passages that were not the primary text for the weekend message.

Read John 15: 12-17

  1. How does Jesus determine if we are truly His Friends?

  2. Jesus tells us here that the cost of true friendship might one day be our lives. World wide, this has been proven true; yet here in the USA, Christians have faced very little real persecution…how is that both a positive & a negative?

Application:

Instructions: The purpose of these questions is to apply the main points from the weekend message.

  1. What do you think is the reason so many who claim Christianity today, struggle to live sent?

  2. Sharing life by inviting unbelievers into our backyards, onto our front porches, sports teams, life groups, BBQ’s, Holidays, & other activities can be a great way to “Live Sent”. How could you intentionally include a nonbeliever from your Sphere of Influence in your life?

  3. To be strong enough to die for Christ sake, we will first need to be strong enough to truly live for one another. How does truly living for Christ look?

  4. Do you know anyone in your life that is setting a great example? How?

  5. What is the One thing you would like to intentionally change, remove or add to your life that would help you to more deliberately “Live Sent”?
