Week of August 18, 2019 My House Worship Guide

Day 1 

Read: Philippians 2:1-11

Pray: 

  • Thank God that Christ humbled himself to the point of death on a cross to pay for sin.

  • Ask God for the unity that comes from humility.

  • Ask God for boldness to be a part of His plan that every knee bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Sing: Broken Alabaster - My House Worship Sessions 

Day 2 

Read: Philippians 2:12-18

Pray: 

  • Thank God that He gives us what we need to obey and follow Him faithfully.

  • Ask God to remind you of His grace so that you may do everything without grumbling or complaining.

  • Ask God to give you joy as you sacrifice things in your life for the sake of His Kingdom.

Day 3 

Read: Philippians 2:19-30

Pray:

  • Thank God for the deep desire to be in meaningful relationships with other believers.

  • Thank God that He has called us to serve Him faithfully together.

  • Ask God for a growing desire to partner in gospel ministry with those in the church family.

 Get to know me:

  1. Why do you think loneliness has become such a big problem in our culture today?

  2. When have you felt lonely in your life? What did you do about it?

  3. What are some good healthy ways to deal with our loneliness or help others overcome theirs?
