Conóceme:

Instrucciones: El objetivo de estas preguntas es generar respuestas sinceras e informativas. No dudes en plantear todas estas preguntas a tu grupo o, simplemente, elige la que mejor se adapte a él.

  1. Welcome back to the Sermon Group questions! How was your Holiday, & how are you dealing with this season's ups and downs?

  2. Given the crazy times we are experiencing today, what do you hope to get out of our new series “THE REIGNING KING”, as we dive into the Bible book of Revelation?

Adentrándonos en la Biblia

Instrucciones: El objetivo de estas preguntas es animar a los miembros del grupo a profundizar en la Biblia para descubrir la verdad a partir de pasajes que no formaban parte del texto principal del mensaje del fin de semana.

Read 1 Corinthians 2: 6-13

  1. Revelation is considered an Apocalyptic book of the Bible. Its content is both Instructional & Prophetic. Therefore, instead of being literal, much of its interpretation is HIGHLY symbolic. How do we navigate such a difficult message?

  2. What does the text above help us understand?

Aplicación:

Instrucciones: El objetivo de estas preguntas es poner en práctica los puntos principales del mensaje del fin de semana.

1. Today in service we are talking about the 3 principles we need to employ when interpreting God’s Word.

  1. Historical Context - A text can never mean what it never meant.

  2. Move from the clear to the obscure

  3. Interpret scripture literally unless told otherwise (in general). In the case of Apocalyptic Scripture, it is the opposite.

Why are each of these important in understanding Revelation?

2. In addition, we are talking about 4 different interpretive styles that some have used in trying to understand Revelation...they are as follows: (In Google, have 4 different group members type out one of the questions below. Type exactly as written for a quick reference).

  1. What is the Futurist view of Revelation?

  2. What is the Preterist view of Revelation?

  3. What is the Historicist View of Revelation?

  4. What is the Idealism/Modified Idealism of Revelation?

Which are we leaning into? Why?

3. Group Prayer

Please take a few minutes as a group to pray for our Senior Leadership Team, as they do the work of helping us understand this very important book of the Bible. Especially, pray for the Holy Spirit to be working within their hearts & minds to grant each of them discernment, wisdom, and understanding as they faithfully guide us through this complex series.
