Premarital Counseling

Next class July 1 and 15, 2012 from 2:00-4:00pm in Cafe 1.

At LifePoint, we desire for marriages, especially new ones, not just to survive but thrive. As a part of our Marriage and Family Ministry, we offer premartial counseling services that help soon to be married couples begin their marriage started on a strong foundation. You will be asked to attend (2) two-hour classes facilitated by Karl and Ruth Meyer. During the course of these classes each participant will be asked to complete an online questionnaire. (To be taken "on your own and at your convenience".) This is simply a personality assessment tool. It only requires a few moments of your time and don't worry, there are no right or wrong answers. The results are sent back to the LifePoint Marriages team for review. Each couple will then be asked to call and schedule one final appointment at which time you and your fiancé will review and discuss the results. There is a minimal fee involved to help cover the cost of the online 'testing'. Once you have completed at least 5 hours of counseling you will receive a notarized certificate of completion, which will save you a considerable amount on your marriage license.

If you would like to participate in this class or are ready to schedule an appointment, please email Susan Garland or call 615.459.3311.
