Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child exists to show God’s love in a real and tangible way to underprivileged children all over the globe, and together with the Church, to share the Gospel of Christ.

There are two ways you can participate in Operation Christmas Child.

  1. Each year, LifePoint Church gives families the opportunity to take part in Operation Christmas Child. We have so much to be thankful for and are excited to partner with you to help teach your kids how to have giving hearts. This year, we want to challenge you and your family to take part in the Seven Steps to a Thankful Heart family devotion(LINK). Use this resource to create a night of intentionality for the whole family as you bless others who are in crisis areas around the world. The Operation Christmas Child Resource gives instructions for packing your shoe box as well as other tips that set the stage for a great family night. You can visit the Go Center at your campus to get a shoebox and for a list of suggestions on what to include. LifePoint Church collection day for shoeboxes is Sunday, November 11th at the Go Center or the preschool and kids guest services area.
  2. The second way to serve is by volunteering at the Rutherford County Operation Christmas Child Collection center at the LifePoint Smyrna Campus. Volunteers are needed various times  Monday, November 12 through Monday November 19. Register to serve to see times available.

If you have other questions about OCC, please call Erica Baggett at the church office at 615-459-3311.

LifePoint Giving Tree Ministry

LifePoint Giving Tree Ministry is your chance to purchase gifts and clothing for a child from our local community for Christmas.

Starting Sunday, November 11th through December 2nd there will be a Christmas tree in the Go Center at your LP Campus where you can select a child to bless this Christmas. On the tag, will be the child's name with all the info you need to provide Christmas gifts and necessities for them.

All wrapped gifts are to be turned into LifePoint no later than December 5th. We also need people to help deliver gifts to homes on Sunday, December 9th starting at 12:30pm. Lunch will be provided for those who help deliver gifts. If you deliver gifts to families will have a great opportunity to share life and the Gospel with families during the Christmas season
