After you receive Christ as Lord and Savior, your journey to becoming more like Christ has just begun. You may know nothing more than to attend church and carry your Bible… that is okay, we are here to help you. Some key phrases of Beginners are: 

  1. Why do I need to go to church regularly? 
  2. I’ve been hurt by a lot of people, so its just me and God and I don’t need others. 
  3. If I pray and read my Bible will I be good enough? 
  4. I didn’t know the Bible said that. 
  5. I know that Jesus is lord and savior but is karma real?

This is a very vulnerable time in your spiritual journey. A key growth stage is being taught and modeled the new truths of the Christian faith you are experiencing. It is very important you receive personal attention from your “spiritual parent” or church mentors.

  • Worship:  Regularly attend church. Spend time praying and reading the Bible. Suggested Books: Journal, Jesus Calling, Journey, Stand Firm.
  • Biblical Community: Attend Baptism Class or Connections Group or Join a small group.
  • Service: Continue or begin serving in a service area. Sign-up to serve.
  • Influence: Pray for two unchurched friends.  Books: Share Jesus without Fear, Just Walk Across the Room
